The visual design of this informational message illustrates clearly the consumption of certain common foods in America. The “Overproteinated” table uses a strong perceptive influence on the audience by aligning the characters in an even interspersed top to bottom configuration within the table and uses contiguity to create the eye’s motion through the table. This draws similarity or consistency among the ideas of the content. The contrast of the table having the black background on top of the colored cells focuses the visual to one cell of information at a time and makes it easier to remember. The tools used in this diagram use more of an immediate visual stimuli rather than a text centered one. This is in part due to the use of drastic color changes among the cells, spacing, and the images provided at the corners. I would like to change this imaging by still having the top and bottom configuration but keep them all aligned on the left side of the cell. The depth of the images changes so that the important information, such as the title, is bolded and the text is centered and in smaller font. The topography is bold but Serif font is generally used for longer passages. The shape of the table, the rectangle, is helpful in expressing the information though. I would keep the overall design of the illustration but make the graphics smaller to make the text more of an important focus.
